Morphine Industries – NashVegas Race Report

June 7, 2011 Morphine Industries

Nashville is famous for country music and Music City BMX. We’re not into country music but we can’t pass up a rad track with big jumps, so we made the trip to NashVegas to put our new DK Race Forks to the test. The track was fast and burly….and the weather was HOT! The racing action was just as hot as the weather, as every class main looked like a main at Grands. This made for some killer racing and our riders were in the mix every time. Here’s how they did;

Tim Dinger went from 3rd to 1st on the second straight on almost every lap in Vet Pro but things didn’t work out that way when he needed it the most and had to settle with a 5th on Saturday. It turns out he was doing it with a torn meniscus, so Dinger will be out for a little while so he can get it taken care of and hit it hard the last half of the season.

Olijuwon Davis was looking fast as always (thanks to his HAWK bottom bracket) making mains both days in A Pro with a 3rd and a 6th.

Charlie Hunt was on the podium both days in 28-35X, with two 2nd place finishes and decided get in on the action in 17& over open Sunday, taking home the win. Three races, three podiums. Good job CH3!

Doran Bradshaw battled heat, dehydration and 17 other fast dudes in 36-40. The heat & tough comp cooled off his recent winning spree but he made all his mains and still pulled in a 3rd & 4th in expert and a 4th & 5th in cruiser. Be sure to drink your water kids!

The co-sponsored riders were killin’ it too! BlackCrown riders Ryan Deroche, RJ Livesay, Chris Murphy & Nick Connelly and Powers Bike Shop riders Jason Sherrill, Pat Parker, Dan Birmingham, Niles Austin, Hannah & Abagayle Macloed & Jeffery Ketron all put in killer laps in their main events.
