The 2012 London Olympics BMX track makes its debut as NBC Sports presents the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup Series on Sunday, 3:30-4:30 p.m. ET. The event brings the world’s top BMX riders to the brand new BMX track in London, which was built for the 2012 Olympic Games. This is the first time any BMX riders will be competing on this track.

The London 2012 Organizing Committee runs The London Prepares series, which consists of multiple Olympic Test events, and was able to work out and agreement with the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup Series in order to have their series serve as an Olympic Test event on the brand new track.

The track itself is about 450m long and is located in the north of the Olympic Park in East London. There is an eight-meter high ramp at the beginning of the track, followed by several different jumps, tight corners, and other obstacles.

Calling the action in London at the site of the 2012 Olympics for NBC will be Todd Harris and Allen Bestwick.
